Challenge #276-277 - Anything Goes

Welcome by again, everyone!  We are SO glad that you're here, and even more excited about all the wonderful cards and projects you share with us.  We have THREE amazing sponsors, a devotional, lots of great inspiration, and LOADS of fun for you all.  SO.....let's get started with our new challenge!!

The Bible verse used for our word art is Psalm 90:12 which says, "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom".  This is a great verse that is basically telling us that we need to make the most of our time; not wasting our days here on earth so that we will become wise.  I hear so many people say things like, "I just don't have time to read my Bible". Well, let's be honest....if you have time to be reading this, and time to craft, then you have time for God!!  The truth is that we ALL have time for the things we WANT to have time for.  And it's also true that we do waste time.  You can pray or read a devotional while you're using the restroom, waiting in line at the bank, sitting in the doctor's office, etc.  By keeping ourselves in a "spirit of prayer", we are able to communicate with God all day long.  We can just talk to Him throughout the day like we talk to any other friend.  Just make Him a part of your day, and share things with Him as you go about your day.  Take 10-15 minutes in the morning to read a few Bible verses, and then ask God to help you think about those verses during the day.  Get something out of it.  Even if you print out this word art and place it on your refrigerator this week, and think about it each day....it will remind you to THINK ABOUT God and your relationship with Him.  There are so many easy ways to spend time with God.  No more excuses...not for me, not for you, not for any of us.  Let's really make a conscious effort to get closer to God.  As this verse tells us, it's so that "we can apply our hearts unto wisdom".  That simply means that, at the end of our life, we want to be able to present God with a wise heart (a heart that knows Him and knows His Word).  It's really not difficult, but the benefits are literally out of this world!!!

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

that it will be a blessing to you.

Lovely artwork. Does my challenge entry have to include Word art or can it just be inspired by your word prompts?
